Classes with Dorie Jones

Ever wanted to learn to shoot trap
or improve your trapshooting skill?

Dorie Jones will be teaching two-hour classes
at the Gun Club
on select Saturdays throughout the year.
Instructor:       Dorie Ann Jones, Certified Instructor and USA Shooting alumna, All American and world record holder.  Dorie trained for the 1992 Olympics in skeet shooting, for which she was an alternate.  She has remained active in shooting sports, coaching skeet, trap, sporting clays, rifle, pistol, and archery and has won the ladies state championship in sporting clays for the past three years.  Dorie has also taught a women’s shooting clinic at the club and works with youth shooters throughout the year.  She is interested in introducing new shooters to the sport as well as helping experienced shooters to improve their skill.

Location:         Moose Old Skagit Gun Club, 14933 Josh Wilson Rd., Burlington, WA  98233 (address does not receive mail)

Dates:           Additional 2018 dates to be announced

Times:            Two sessions on each date—10 am to noon, and noon to 2 pm

Cost:               Each 2-hour session will be $40 plus regular round fees for each round of 25 shots
($5 per round for members, $6 per round for non-members)

Beginners might only wish to shoot one round while advanced shooters may shoot up to four rounds during the lesson.  Expect to shoot a variety of targets and to learn about gun fit, shooting form, the shot process, how and where to look for targets.  For more advanced shooters Dorie can cover the mental game, mental toughness, complementary training, goal setting, etc.

Classes will be limited to no more than 4 students per session and space must be reserved in advance.  Only cash or check can be accepted, no credit or debit cards.  Due to the late scheduling of this class please plan on paying the class fee and round fees at the club on the day of the class. Checks may be made out to MOSGC.
