December is always a busy month for everybody and also for the club. The first week included the PITA Multiplex on Thursday night followed by the Winter Handicap shoot on Saturday. A week later on Saturday was the PITA Memorial Shoot. Now we can take a short rest and relax and enjoy the season.
The new year is just around the corner and January will be a busy month at the club. Things will start out with a Fun Shoot and General Club Meeting on Jan. 1. Everybody is welcome. (See the "Fun Shoots" page for full information and all shooting events are free!!) Also a potluck so bring your favorite dish. The next Multiplex series will be starting and runs from January through April. Check our calendar for specific dates. The Multiplex is a good opportunity for shooters new to PITA competition as the events are 50 birds instead of the usual 100--and you can shoot as few or as many events as you like. See our "Pita Events" page for more information. January 4 is the next Winter Handicap Series shoot. These are not PITA registered targets and the shoot is open to everybody. Two 50- bird handicap events with a break for lunch in between. You can shoot one or both events. Also starting in January is the International League, an opportunity to visit some clubs both in the U.S. and Canada. More information will be posted shortly on our website but the dates are already available in the "Calendar" section. If you are concerned about what is involved with crossing the border with your gun talk to Jack Kennedy or Chuck Manning. They can give you the information you need and ease some fears. Or if you prefer to just shoot in the U.S., you can participate at Old Skagit and Bellingham Clubs and still have the opportunity for some fun and to meet new people.
