Saturday's weather was good for shooting, particularly in the afternoon when the sun came out. Forty shooters participated in the Handicap events and enjoyed an excellent lunch of barbequed salmon, oysters, corn, coleslaw, and garlic bread. To top it off was cake decorated to celebrate Ken Austin's 50,000th registered target milestone. Thank you to everybody that helped to acquire and prepare the food!! As well as to those who did the cleanup after. Jim Cleave shot the highest total score for the day, breaking 186 out of 200 targets and received a trophy buckle as did the other event winners. Be sure to see the PITA web site for the full results. A link is on our "PITA Events" web page.
Sunday's weather took a turn for the worse, however, and the skies opened up with rain on the Buddy Backer Fun Shoot. Eight teams participated and Jim Cleave continued his good shooting as he combined with partner Gary Cooper to achieve the high score for the day. Both shooters received trophy buckles for their efforts. More information and pictures can be found on our Facebook page.
